Unlike typical races in Indonesia, I proposed creating video series for the Borobudur Marathon in 2023. Eventually, the Borobudur Marathon team agreed.
I served as the director for my own production house, Bettr Visual. We produced 5 video series, 1 photo series, as well as photos and videos on race day involving over 20 team members.
Please scroll down to see the work of myself and the Bettr Visual team for the Borobudur Marathon 2023.
The journey began as we traveled to 10 different cities across Indonesia before the Borobudur Marathon event. In the midst of this journey, we decided to reside for approximately one week to produce video content; Magelang and Pawone, as well as a photo portrait series for Pawone.
In the Pawone photo series, I was the one behind the lens.
Check out what we cooked up!
Among the five video series we produced, the first episode released was Pawone. Please watch for more details and to understand what Pawone is.
The second episode of this series is The Tour, followed by the Friendship Run. If The Tour is a community event for communities, the Friendship Run is a mini Borobudur Marathon roadshow to 10 cities, in my opinion.
Magelang became the fourth episode, where we aimed to showcasethe friendliness and warmth of the Magelang residents towards the runners who visited.
The final episode, the one I’m proud of for its results; Race Day. We aimed to highlight various figures and athletes in their journey at the Borobudur Marathon 2023.
Out of all the running events in Indonesia, for me, the Borobudur Marathon takes the cake. It’s got everything: outstanding crews, friendly folks, cheers echoing from schools near and far, tasty local grub, and a top-notch race experience.
Proudly, I’ve journeyed with the Borobudur Marathon from 2018 to 2023.
